Early Childhood Music Programs
At Freebird Music Studios, we believe the joy of music begins at the very start of life. Our early childhood music programs are thoughtfully designed to inspire a lifelong love of music while supporting your child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. We know that music plays a vital role in whole-brain development, fostering skills like language, memory, coordination, and creativity.
Drawing from the renowned music education philosophies of Kodály, Orff, and Feierabend, our classes integrate best practices for teaching and nurturing young learners.

Program Information

Nestlings
Ages 0-3 with a caregiver
The perfect first step into the world of music! Nestlings classes focus on sensory-rich experiences through lullabies, finger rhymes, and movement to nurture your baby or toddler’s development. Little ones will love the interactive songs, imaginative play, and lively movement in Nestlings classes! With props like shakers, scarves and parachutes, this class supports developing motor skills, language development, and creativity. Caregivers are part of the fun too, strengthening bonds while exploring the joy of music together.

Strummingsbirds
Ages 5-8
Learn the ukulele in a fun and energetic group setting! Strummingbirds introduces basic chords, rhythms, and strumming patterns for the budding musician. This course incorporates ukulele with singing, helping students learn pitch recognition and melody. This class encourages children and adults to build confidence, fine motor skills, and a strong musical foundation as they explore this delightful instrument.
Learning together means that mom or dad or a caregiver are able to learn something new, and help their child with practising at home!

Fledglings
Ages 3*-6, unparented
As children gain independence, Fledglings classes offer an exciting opportunity to develop their musical abilities! Through singing, rhythm activities, musical games and hands-on exploration of rhythm instruments, kids build foundational skills like listening, pattern recognition, and self-expression. Props and engaging activities keep the energy high while fostering confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love for music.
3*-year-olds must be potty trained, otherwise they are welcome to join our Nestlings program.
What people are saying about our classes ❤️
Thank you for providing a fun learning environment that me and my baby could bond in! Christina’s baby music class was such an enjoyable experience for myself and my son. Watching him listen to music, interact with the other babies, and learn new songs was so much fun for both of us. This turned into one of our favourite activities to do together. Christina was so amazing at meeting each individual child where they were at. I would recommend this to any mom or caregiver who is looking for a fun activity to do with their baby!

Christina is so friendly and engaging, and always makes you feel so welcome. We love the variety of songs each class provides as well as the various props, like shakers and scarves, used to further engage the little ones and make it even more fun. We also enjoy the mixture of new songs being introduced throughout the programs as well as the consistency of certain songs being used each class to help with recognition through repetition.
Even outside of class we are constantly singing the songs we have learned. These classes always bring my daughter, and myself, so much joy and I feel like it has helped tremendously with her development over time as she starts to develop her vocabulary and learn new gestures. We have really enjoyed the connection with other families and socialization that the in-person sessions have brought, but also the flexibility of the zoom sessions and how they still allow you to connect with others. These classes have been such a fun experience and I have loved watching my daughter grow and learn new things.

I was so happy to be a part of Christina’s music class with my baby – it was always the highlight of our week! Christina created a fun and comfortable environment to learn music and try new things. Each class was well thought out, engaging and dynamic. I will cherish the memories made and remember the songs and rhymes we learned at music class for years to come!

Ms. Christina is patient, encouraging, and makes learning music feel like an exciting advenutre. It’s amazing to see how quickly my child has picked up new skills, from strumming basic chords to playing full songs with confidence.
The class not only fosters a love for music but also boots self-expression. I highly reccomend this program to any parent looking for a joyful and enriching musical experience for their child!

My daughter and I started a Freebird Music Studio music program when she was 4 months old, and we both absolutely loved it! Watching my baby’s excitement and wonder during all of the songs and actions was so much fun as a mom. We loved meeting other parents and babies, and seeing them all grow together over weeks.
Christina is so interactive and great with babies, and my baby responded with huge smiles to her and her ukulele. I highly recommend this class as a way to incorporate music and dancing into your baby’s life, as well as a way to meet, interact and have fun with other families.

My son and I did a Nestlings Program with Freebird Music Studios and it was the perfect weekly activity to get me out of the house, get some social interaction with other moms, dads, and babies, and we learned so many fun songs to incorporate at home.
We had lots of fun and it was amazing seeing my baby enjoy the songs, rhymes, and fun little instruments we used throughout each class.
I would reccomend this class to anyone with a baby that wants to try something new in a carefree environment with a great teacher!
